I joined PrepInsta by purchasing their Prime Video subscription for Cognizant GenC and after a week or so they brought us to my knowledge that Cognizant is going to change their aptitude pattern this year.

They helped me throughout the course, and here I am placed with Cognizant GenC profile.

Let me share my interview experience in brief :

Roles for which company used to hire in on-campus :

  • GenC Profile (normal package)

Round 1 (Aptitude Assessment):

  • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions
  • Verbal: 20 Questions
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning: 35 Questions

Total Time allotted: 100 mins

Cleared aptitude for GenC profile. Out of 209 students, only 50 cleared this round.

Round 2 (Communication Assessment) :

  • Reading and Grammar
  • Comprehension and Listening
  • Speaking

Total Time allotted: 45 mins

Round 3 (Technical and HR Interview, around 40 minutes) :

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Final Year project
  • Error handling in C++
  • Explain the principles of OOPs.
  • Tell me the OSI Layers.
  • Latest technologies that are trending in the IT industry.
  • Why IT over CSE?
  • What is Machine Learning?
  • Why is bubble sort named so?
  • What are the skills required to be an IT professional?
  • If you win a lottery of 1 crore, what will you do with that money?
  • Any two strengths and weaknesses.
  • Any questions for us?

That’s all, at the end 2 were selected for the GenC profile, and fortunately, I was among them.

Cognizant Recruitment Process

Cognizant is a Multinational Company in the field of Software Technologies. Cognizant Recruitment Process is a 2-Step Process:

Aptitude Assessment:
